James "Jim" Daniel Stalnaker

James “Jim” Daniel Stalnaker, Sr., 74, of Conway, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009. He was born in Ocala, Florida on October 4, 1935 to the late Jack & Virginia Stalnaker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Stalnaker. He is survived by one brother, John Stalnaker and wife Tabby of Plant City, Florida; by two sons, Danny Stalnaker and Jeff Stalnaker and his wife Theresa Stalnaker; and one daughter, Jorjean Retzloff and her husband Dylan, all of Conway.

Jim also is survived by 7 grandchildren, Jonathan Stalnaker, Christopher Stalnaker, Timothy Stalnaker, Allison Taylor, Beau Taylor, Mackenzie Retzloff and Bradley Retzloff, all of Conway.

Jim retired from the United States Air Force after serving 22 years and also retired from the State of Arkansas Department of Emergency Services after 23 years of service. Jim also served as the Veterans Representative for Faulkner County for 17 years providing veterans of wars with administrative support. He continued years of volunteer work for many veteran services and activities. Jim also worked as a bus driver for the Faulkner County Day School.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Alfred Langer officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
