Larry Wendell Montgomery, 67 of Ozone, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in Clarksville. Larry was born March 11, 1949 in Corpus Christie, TX to Mr. Ernest Edwin and Kathryn (French) Montgomery. He enjoyed reading, and being on the farm; he loved his dogs, his family, and his grandchildren. Mr. Montgomery is preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers: Bill, Joe, Fred, and Dennis Montgomery.
Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife, Gail (Mooney) Montgomery; one son, Forest Montgomery of Ozone; one daughter, Alicia Freeman of Lamar; one sister, Doris Wright of Ozark; two brothers, Dan Montgomery of Alabama, and Robert Montgomery of Virginia; grandchildren, Isaac Montgomery, Isaiah Montgomery, Hayleigh Montgomery, Jordyn Montgomery, and Katlynn Freeman; sister in law and brother in law, Bill and Sonda Cook, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held, and interment will be in the Sherman Cemetery, with Tommy and Mary Warren, Katrinka Hurt, John and Sherry Hannon, Glenda Zieler, Misty Penrod, and Margie Moore serving as honorary pallbearers.

Diane said it all. When you think of Larry you can't help but smile. I remember when he and Dennis were teenagers and their mischievous little laughs when you just knew they were up to something. He was always fun and will be missed by us all. Rest in peace Uncle Larry. We love you . Oh my Word...what a fun uncle he was!! I will never forget my Uncle Larry's laugh... We Montgomery's are pretty unique in that department. When we laugh sincerely ... the whole world laughs with you...or at you...whatever it is... you brighten the day. He 's laugh always made my day. I also remember his smell... cigar or pipe it didn't matter, it was unique to him. I Love Him and pray God rests his soul peacefully with all his loved ones.
