Thomas Arthur Johnson, 78 of Ozark, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Fort Smith. Thomas was born October 10, 1937 in Hartman to Mr. Arnold and Gladys (Landcaster) Johnson. Thomas loved his family; he was an amazing father, grandfather, uncle, and husband; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, family outings, singing with his best friends, Bill and Gail Brotherton. He was a storyteller, and joke teller. He retired from Harbison-Walker after 38 years. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Gerald Johnson and Thomas Johnson, Jr.; one sister, Ruth (Johnson) Fultz; nephew Bud Fultz; two sister in laws, Rene Johnson and Willma Johnson; and one brother in law, Dick Cohrs.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Ida Louise (Walker) Johnson; daughter Suzi and Robert Slate; grandchildren, Michael (Samantha) Hendron and Bobbie Hendron; great grandchildren Connor and Murphy Hendron; two brothers, Charles ''Chig'' Johnson and Robert ''Junior'' Johnson; two sisters, Francis Cohrs, and Clara ''BB'' and Donald Lee Harkreader; his loved numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friends Bill and Gail Brotherton.

Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Coal Hill Assembly of God, with Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartman Cemetery with, Michael Hendron, Robert Slate, Donald Harkreader Jr., Richard Johnson, Jamey Harkreader, and Dondie Harkreader serving as pallbearers. Donald Harkreader Sr., Charles ''Chig'' Johnson, Robert ''Junior'' Johnson, Bill Brotherton, John Michael Johnson, George Ray Whittle, James Whittle, and William Whittle will serve as honorary pallbearers.
