Lisa Fivecoat Maxfield, 85 of Altus, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Ms. Maxfield was born August 29, 1930 in Clarksville to Mr. Jesse Valdez and Ms. Irene Fivecoat. Lisa enjoyed playing bingo, dancing, cooking for her family and gardening, her family was her biggest passion in life. Ms. Maxfield is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Benita Daniel, Pam Daniel Burns; one son, Dennis Daniel; granddaughter, Laurie Mitchell Wilson; grandson, Paul Mitchell; one sister, Nelly Valdez; and one brother, Jim Bo Valdez.
Ms. Maxfield is survived by one daughter, Susie Daniel of Freer, TX.; two sons, Danny Daniel of Harlingen, TX., and Johnny Long of Texas City, TX., daughter in law, Judy Daniel of Augusta, GA.; four sisters, Jane Konzem of Harlingen, TX., Brenda Walls of Oklahoma, Ginger Cantrell of Claremore, OK., and Sissy Wolfe of Cleveland, OK.; 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren; and her special companion for the last 16 years, Doyle Phillips.
Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, with Charlie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery with Josh Saenz, Bryan Saenz, Dallas Daniel, Danny Daniel, Dustin Mitchell, and Austin Mitchell serving as pallbearers.
