Hi Gladys,
You have my sympathy on the loss of Henry. Although he was four-years older than me, I remember a lot about him.
One of the things was that he had a play log cabin in his backyard, and we spent many hours playing cowboys and Indians around that cabin. Also, we played "chew the peg" there. The funniest thing that happened (but wasn't funny to me at the time) was on one Sunday afternoon, Henry, Bill Slentz, and I were going up to Denny Welch's house on Sylvan Drive (the backroad) when we found a stubble of a broom lying in the field. Well, Henry had a match, lit the stubble, and was swinging it around. Someone said, "Let's set this field on fire." One of them looked back, saw, and said, "Well, the field IS on fire!". A few minutes later, the fire whistle blew, and I was scared to death. I took off running along the back road, down Fogel St. to Logan Ave. and then home! Henry and Bill stayed, trying to beat the fire out with no success. The fire company came and put that fire out!
Another remembrance was of Henry's little blue Willys car. He would load up the Hilltop kids and ride us up and down the alley behind his house.
Hope you are doing well and are in good health. You might not remember me, but you were a beautiful girl and young woman when I was growing up. Prayers be with you as you face the future.
Sincerely - one of Henry's young friends, Don (Butch) Houseman

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I have many fond memories of Uncle Mac and Aunt Gladys at Gram and Pap's house when they would visit. I know that he is at peace and in gods loving arms.

Mac & Gladys were friends with my late grandparents Rev Archie and Minnie Boone. I have many wonderful memories of Mac and my heart goes out to his wife, family, and friends during this difficult time.
