Ovida F. Buchanan

Ovida F. Buchanan was born June 18, 1923 in Johnson County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Lela D. Patty Jaggers. She died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Clarksville Health and Rehab, at the age of 88. She was of the Methodist Faith and Extension Homemakers (Oakland Club) Secretary-Treasurer for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph C. Buchanan.

She leaves behind her daughter, Peggy S. Johnson of Clarksville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Paul and wife, Amy Johnson and Melissa Johnson; three great-nieces, Janet Vire of Clarksville, Arkansas, Dureta Warren of Clarksville, Arkansas, Vickie Rice of North Little Rock, Arkansas; one great-nephew, Keith Jaggers of Ozark, Arkansas; four great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, Clarksville, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery, Harmony, Arkansas. Reverend David Hanshaw and Reverend Clyde Vire officiating.

Pallbearers will be James Warren, Bobby Moore, Carl Buchanan, Reverend Clyde Vire, David Payne, Bro. Myron Rickett.
