Ricky Joel Young was born March 5, 1976 in Russellville, Arkansas. He was the son of Rebecca Young Madewell and Bobby Madewell of Lamar, Arkansas.
He died April 29, 2012 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 36. He was a logger.
He leaves behind his wife, Sherry Brumley Young of Adona, Arkansas,
step-daughter, Jamie Emerson of Oklahoma; step-sons, Christopher Pursley of Russellville, Arkansas and Billy Pursley, Jr of Oklahoma; sisters, Barbara Young of Clarksville, Arkansas and Stacy Leisure of WI; brothers, Tommy Young of Clarksville, Justin Treat of Harrison, Arkansas, Greg Madewell of Harrison, Arkansas, Jeffrey Madewell of Lamar, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; children of the home; Brooklynn Pursley, Zachary Pursley, Brandon Pursley; grandmother, Glenda Wright of Clarksville, Arkansas.

Visitation will be 6-8p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home, Clarksville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Holman Freewill Baptist Church, Lamar, Arkansas. Reverend Geno Johnston and Reverend Herb Tilley officiating. Burial will be in the Holman Cemetery, Lamar, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Greg Madewell, Larry Heyland, Brad Heyland, Carl McConnell, Gordon DeSpain, Eddie Burkett,
