Louis Everett Almgren

Louis Everett Almgren, Jr was born July 22, 1925 in Chicago, IL. He was the son of Louis Everett Almgren, Sr and Kathleen Mary O'Brian Almgren. He died April 17, 2012, at Countryside Nursing Home, Lamar, Arkansas, at the age of 86. He was a World War II United States Marine Veteran, Almgren Tool and Engineering: Tool and Die Maker,loved guns, hunting and fishing, horse and dog races, raised Brittany Spaniels for hunting, loved flying airplanes, and helped his wife with Back Door BBQ, and Burns Security: Sara Lee and Tyson. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Almgren; two sisters, Elaine Gunn and Kathy Salehi; one brother, Ray Almgren.

He leaves behind one son, Alan Almgren of Clarksville, Arkansas; two daughters, Colleen Almgren of Eagan, MN and Carla Almgren of Clarksville, Arkansas.

Memorial service will held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, Clarksville, Arkansas. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., at Fort Smith National Cemetery, Fort Smith, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Saint Judes Childrens Hospital.
