William R. Smith, 71, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas following an extended illness with cardiac failures. He was born in Peoria, Illinois to the late Ralph and Mary Catherine Smith.

Bill is survived by Cheryl Winters and her daughter, Kennedy, with whom he resided.

After serving in the military during the Vietnam War, Mr. Smith attended school in Texas to further his education. Bill became a Physical Therapist who had a passion for his clients. He retired from Arkansas Health Center after seventeen years of service. His success as a Physical Therapist and Wound Care Specialist can be directly contributed to his work ethic, and his attention to detail was legendary.

Bill will be deeply missed by countless co-workers, friends, and residents from Arkansas Health Center.

Bill was a very dear friend of mine. He gave to those in need white residents he worked with!!! Truly a kind and generous spirit!!! He will be missed! RIP Bill Smith!!!
