Teddy E. Wilson, 76, of Benton died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Saline Memorial Hospital. He was born February 10, 1941 in Carlisle to the late Henry A. and Ever Helen Honeycutt Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his wife; Alice Joy Taylor Wilson; one son, Barry Lane Wilson; two brothers, Henry (Toad) Wilson and James Willie Wilson, and three sisters, Iva Lee Wright, Edna Linam, and Eva Mae Linam.
Teddy graduated from Carlisle High School, attended Drone Business College, He was a U.S. Army Veteran stationed at Ft. Hood and owned and operated the Teddy E. Wilson Accounting in downtown Benton.
Survivors include one son, Doyne Wilson and wife Renee of Benton; daughter-in-law, Cindy Wilson of Benton; brother, Bobby Wilson of Carlisle; sister, Barbara Juanita Kincaid of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Meghan and Seth Wilson, a dear friend, Louise Westbrook, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2015 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Bro. Horace Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Harmony Cemetery in Haskell. Serving as pallbearers are Dennis Wilson, Doug Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Dickie Evans, Charlie Scribner, and John Bramlett.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening April 6th at the funeral home.
Teddy was a beloved dear old friend who me, my late husband Jim and precious Joy spent years dancing, playing cards and traveling. He will forever be remembered and missed.

Ive known Teddy for over 25 years at first I just went in to his business to get my taxes done but over time he became a friend. I think he will be missed by many here in Benton and surrounding areas, he touched so many people sadly he will be missed .

I was sorry to hear about Teddy. He was a pleasure to work for and I always considered him my friend. He always had to have a hug for everyone and had many many friends. He will be missed greatly. My prayers are for peace for his family.

On behalf of the classmates of Joy Taylor Wilson, I would like to send our condolences to the family of Teddy Wilson. At Sparkman High School, Joy was a part of our class for 12 years, when she married Teddy, he became a part of us. Having lost Joy several years ago, we share in your loss of Teddy now.
My heart is so sad from my dear friend passing, we have been client and friends for 40 years. I can't believe I will go to get the checks friday and not see my friend and have a chat about anything from when we were kids or our kids. We have seen a lot of things happen good and bad over the years. Doyne and family you are in our thoughts.
