Bro. R.B. (Reaves) Wright Jr., 79 of Traskwood, passed away March 22, 2017 at Saline Memorial Hospital. He was born May 15, 1937 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Reaves B. Wright Sr., and Sadie Belle (Willis) Wright. R. B.'s first love was his love for Jesus Christ. He was an Ordained Missionary Baptist Preacher for 40 plus years. He loved the Lord and was ready to go home. He also was a carpenter during his younger years, a farmer, and co-owner of Barby's Market previously located on Military Road and then on Hwy. 67. He loved to peddle watermelons, vegetables, and other assorted things. Bro. Wright was a member of the Glen Rose Missionry Baptist Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barby Wright, two brothers Jack Wright and Fred Wright; one son Allen Wright; and one great- granddaughter Sydney Renae White.

Survivors include two daughters Cindy Higdon (Terry) and Marissa Wright of Traskwood; three grandchildren Sonja Reed (Josh), Mike Higdon (Paula), Rebecca Hogue (Cass); great grandchildren Carson Reed, Logan Reed, Andrew Tucker, Sabra Tucker and Austin Paul; four great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

He is also survived by his special companion, Evelyn Dobson. The family is very thankful for the love she showed our daddy.

A special ''thank you'' to Dr. Alby and his friend, caregiver and son-in-law Terry Higdon.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Glen Rose Missionary Baptist Church in Traskwood, Arkansas.

Funeral service is scheduled Monday, March 27, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at
Glen Rose Missionary Baptist church in Traskwood with Bro. Tony Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Traskwood Cemetery.

My love and prayers are with you. I thank you for the time I got to spend with your loving family. Rb was a quite man. He baptized me. Put up with me. Never once did he ever conplain of. Kids taking over his house. What a good man. Now rb could preach. I thank him for sharing god and his home. God bless you

RB and Barby were wonderful neighbors to our family. We did not visit much, but we always knew that they were there, and would give us the shirt off their backs if needed. It is a sad time for the family, but oh just think of the reunion he is having with his parents, brothers, Barby, and Allen.
