Bill Henry, Sr., age 84, of Alexander, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant. He was born at Fort Roots on November 1, 1931 to the late Bart and Daisy Henry. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Henry was the past owner of B&K Electric and a member of both the NECA and IBEW. He was also a member of the RBJ Hunting Club. He loved hunting, fishing, and riding horses.
In addition to his parents, Bill was also predeceased by one great grandson.
He is survived by his wife of over 22 years, Phyllis Hogard Henry; two sons, Bill Henry Jr. of Avilla and Michael Henry of Huntsville, AL; two step-sons, Joe Johnson (Marilyn) of Hot Springs and Thomas Glass (Cristy) of Benton; step-daughter, Dee Ann English (Don) of Center Ridge; grandchildren, Kerri Harris, Jennifer Henry, Savannah Glass, Lara James, Jeri Kay Hammonds, Kristi McFarland, Courtney Riggan, and Rhonda Nguyen; seven great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Bro. Kim Hammer officiating. Interment will follow in Smith-Rosemont Cemetery in Benton. Serving as pallbearers will be the RBJ Hunting Club.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the funeral home.
