March 22, 1954 - April 10, 2016
Kim Edward Singleton, age 62, of Benton, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 10, 2016. He was born March 22, 1954 in Benton. After graduating from Benton High School in 1972, he served three years in the United States Army. Kim retired after 25 years from UAMS as a cabinet builder, after having been employed for over ten years with Alcoa. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton. He loved being outdoors whether it was floating the Buffalo River or riding his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his father, "J P" Singleton and an infant brother, Joe David Singleton.
Survivors include his son, Bart Singleton and wife, Danielle; one grandson, Sawyer Singleton; his mother, Patsy Singleton; other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Selph Hall at First Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Grant and Bro. Edd Spurlock officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Kendall Staggs, Gary Heinrich, Rick Everhart, Greg Davis, David Monkus, Randy Evans, Daniel Ashcraft, and Jesse Hall. Honorary pallbearer is Sony Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-40147).
Memorial donations may be made to Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House, 23157 I-30, Bryant, AR 72022 or First Baptist Church - Parking Lot Fund, 211 S. Market St., Benton, AR 72015.
Kim was a man of many talents and skills. I always admired and respected him for his friendly and kind manner. He was a great man that will be missed.
