Wesley Earl Ross, age 87, currently of Benton, AR, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on December 29, 1928 to the late Walter Forrest Ross and Vanda Lee Painter Ross. Mr. Ross was a US Army Air Corp Veteran who served on Okinawa during WWII. He was a 1952 graduate of Texas Tech and received his Masters from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles. He retired after twenty-five years from the education field, the last ten years having served as school superintendent. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Benton.
In addition to his parents and all of his siblings, he was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Olivia Bryan
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Clariece Ross; one son, Richard Greg Ross and wife, Monica Dawn of Florence, AL, three daughters, Clarissa Beth Ross Romines and husband, Eddie of Fate, TX, Melissa Jill Ross Tate and husband, David of Arlington, TX, and Alissa Lynn Ross Rabon and husband, Jeremiah of Bryant, AR; ten grandchildren, Clinton Romines, Kate Bryan, Matt Tate, Melissa Tate, Michael Tate, Erin Ross, Daniel Ross, Alyssa Stewart, Alex Rabon, and Anna Rabon; five great-grandchildren, Maddox Bryan, Lyla Romines, Ella Bryan, Abby Bryan, and Ava Romines; nephew, James Wesley Ross of St. Louis, MO; other numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.
Private services are entrusted to Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton, AR (501-315-4047).
Memorial services in Texas will be scheduled for a later date.
Earl was a very special person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

His service for Christ was exemplary and his reputation as a man of God will continue to inspire faith in others for years to come.

We were extremely sorry to learn of brother Earl's death.
He was a great Christian man and a real gentleman. It was a pleasure to serve with him, for a time, as Elders at the Pearl Street Church of Christ in Denton, Texas and to have Clariece as our church secretary. We have fond memories of our times together.
