I remember growing up, that Patty and Danny were very close, and that I felt close to you. I couldn't wait for you to come home from college for a visit so that I had someone to play backgammon with, so for Christmas one year, you bought me Omar, an electronic opponent. I still never learned to beat you. I remember waiting my turn to take a place at the euchre table with you and Becky and mom and dad. I remember after dad passed away and Patty and I begged mom to sell the house and get an apartment and she wouldn't do it. Then you flew home. One hour after arriving in town, she had an apartment rented and the house on the market. I remember talking with Patty, that you were our "rock". I remember the hug you gave me after the dinner I cooked at my place and told me that it was just like mom would have cooked. That day you proposed we buy a bottle of expensive whiskey for the last of the three to drink to those if us who had passed on. You and I both said that Patty should keep it, as she would most likely be the last of us. I will buy that bottle and give it to her to hold, my dear brother. We were not supposed to be at two so quickly. There are so many things that I will do that will bring back memories of you. Please watch over me and my boys from above. I hope that when it is my time to go, I am waiting on a street corner and you sneak up behind me and ask, "Hey, Are you looking for a pick up?" Pick me up then and take me to join you and mom and dad, Ronnie, Danny, Becky, and Kevin and all our other relatives and friend.s in heaven. I will forever love you and miss you. Ruthie

John was a great guy whom I met through one of his best friends, Matt Provenzano. I enjoyed the times we spent together golfing, smoking cigars and listening to him sing Warren Zevon songs. He was also a great cook; his gumbo was the best I've ever eaten. He will be missed.
