Johnny and Family,

I am so sorry to hear about Martha. She was a good friend and will be greatly missed. Ronnie and I remember lots of good time at Bethel Baptist when we went to church together. Martha was so talented and a wonderful example of a christian lady. God bless you and the kids . We will continue to pray for God's healing of your hearts.

To Martha's family I send my sincere condolences. We are so grateful to God that by means of His son's atoning sacrifice and his resurrection we will have the opportunity to enjoy everlasting life, John 3:16.This is a promise that Martha believed. She was confident that those are not empty words because whatever God promises he will fulfill. God did not create us to have a short walk with him from the cradle to the grave, but rather he created us to walk with him for eternity that is why he has put eternity in our hearts Ecclesiastes 3:11, and will give our dead loved ones life again. Another comforting thought is found at Revelation 21:3-4. As wonderful as it is that mourning, outcry, and pain will be no more, God’s promises even include doing away with mankind’s ultimate enemy -- death. (1 Corinthians 15:26). As time passes and you heal, may meditating on such promises give you comfort and peace. May the memories of Martha comfort you and also the hope held out to our dead loved ones that they will live again in the Paradise Jesus promised at Luke 23:43. I have been comforted by these words and I hope they will do the same for you.

Dear Johnny, Lisa, Luke, grandchildren and all family members, I am truly saddened by the loss of your dear loved one. She was a true soldier for her Lord, a beloved wife and mother, and a friend to us. I have special memories of her association with Oscar and me. Only you know the pain of the last years and weeks of Martha's life, but she was a warrior to the end. May God bless and keep you and give you peace as He has promised. I love you all.
