Flora May Looper, age 107, a native of Benton, Arkansas and a thirteen year resident of Jackson, Alabama died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at a local health care facility in Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Newton Looper and her daughter, Catherine Gaynell Stewart.

She is survived by one son, Walter B. Looper of Jackson, AL; three granddaughters, Catherine Ann Carruth of Arlington, TX, Janet Elaine Hodges of McKinny, TX, and Andrea Lea Taylor of Daphne, AL; two grandsons, James David Stewart of Nacogdoches, TX and Paul Alan Looper of Rincon, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2009 at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton with Dr. Richard Grant officiating. Arrangements by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).
