of Vilonia, AR

March 1, 1943 - January 16, 2017

Virginia ''Vickie'' Montine (Johnson) Sellers of Vilonia passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at the age of 73. Born March 1, 1943, in Conway she was the fourth child of Arlie Johnson and Theda Montine (Jones) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and the love of her life and husband of 40 years, James R. Sellers Sr.

She is survived and deeply missed by her children: Cynthia ''Cindy'' Sellers Roach (Calvin) of Vilonia and James R. Sellers Jr. of Vilonia; her grandson, Connor Roach of Conway; her siblings: Leon Johnson (Mary Ann) of Conway, Marie Troutman of Mayflower, Jean Padgett of Conway, and Kenneth Johnson of Conway; her siblings-in-law: Ed Sellers (Linda) of Vilonia, John Sellers (Sherry) of Conway, and Hal Sellers (Glenda) of Vilonia; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Vickie had a servant's heart and a strong Christian faith that she lived out by being kind and loving to all she came in contact with. She worked in food service from a young age, and due to her husband's military career, she did so all over the world. She loved people, and enjoyed working with the public in a variety of venues. She attended the University of Central Arkansas on scholarship after graduating with honors from the Conway Adult Education Center. She was a member of the Liberty Church of the Nazarene.

Visitation will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Thursday, January 19th from 6-8 p.m. The Funeral will be at Liberty Church of the Nazarene on Highway 36 in Vilonia on Friday, January 20th at 10 a.m. with interment at Crestlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leon Johnson, Ed Sellers, Kenneth Johnson, John Sellers, Clyde Troutman, and Hal Sellers. Officiating will be Rev. Kevin Rector.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Vickie's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org.

Our memories of Vickie will live in our hearts forever, and some day we'll walk together again on Heaven's streets. Our love, thoughts, and prayers are with you all during this time, even if we're not there in person. Cindy, James, Conner and Calvin, just know that while she will be greatly missed here on earth, her precious memories and wonderful spirit will be with you and those who knew and loved her. Hugs from us to you and all the family!

What a beautiful video of Vickey...
Thank you for including a picture of Nina and I...
Vickey was my mother for a time also... This scared little Alabama girl in Germany... Vickey ended up making it feel like home...
She had an amazing life with family and friends who loved her...
And she loved us all back...
Cindy, You and James are in my prayers as well as your whole family...

I am Shelly Sellers McCutchen's mother in law.
You are all in my prayers, especially Cindy and James.
I lost both of my parents this past year , in fact, within 3 1/2 months of each other. It is extremely difficult. I was fortunate enough to have been able to care for each of them. My father was 90 and my mother was 84. However, we are never ready to give them up. Personally, I am able to continue on because I FEEL their presence with me at all times. It provides me with such peace. I have heard many wonderful things about both of your parents.
Please know that I am lifting you up in my prayers. 🙏

Cindy, Connor, James, and Calvin, my heart breaks for all of you and the rest of your family and Miss Vickie's friends and chosen family. I know this hurt well, please know we will keep you in our thoughts, prayers, and daily devotions. I know the words mean nothing right now, I know that the only thing you really want is Miss Vickie back in the way that you remember her. I also know she was a sweet woman who knew God and has been reunited with the "love of her life." If there was one thing I could do or say to help I could, please know that you are thought of often and with much love.

CJ and Adein.

This news saddens my heart. A strong, amazing woman has left this mortal plane. May she bring joy to all of those in heaven who have gone before, just as she did to everyone she touched here.
