Dear Manley family,
My name is Lori and my mother was named Nina Bell Manley. My Grandfather Monroe F. Manley, I believe, was also your patriarch. I send my condolences to my cousins family. I would deeply appreciate hearing from a cousin who would know information on our family tree. My Uncle Fulton was the last Manley sibling who passed not long ago. My father was H.B. Riggs and my brother H.B. Riggs III and I do not know many of our family now that our familiar aunts and uncles have passed. We send our respect and prayers.

Sincerely,
Lori Riggs West

Martha, I did not know your Jimmy personally, but I knew him as an extension of you, the farming community, and as leaders of the Aubrey Community of many years. I know him as a man of good works and a good, upright life through the insightful video of your grandchild, Marci, the journalist, who's work and toughness I admire.I sympathize with you and your extended family over his loss. Someone of his character is always a terrible loss to his wife, children, grandchildren, his church, his community an all his associations. Please understand that people who may not have known him will offer sincere extensions of heartfelt sympathies to your's and Jimmy's family. I hope that they will help you all through the tough weeks and months ahead.

I will miss my commentary in Bible class, I knew who to asked when I needed a verse explained. Jimmie had a knowledge of the Bible that most people don't. He was a true friend and a true Christian. He touched the lives of so many people for the good. Martha, you and Jimmie were the true example of a husband and a wife. We loved Jimmie and we will be there for you if you need anything. May the God that Jimmie served so faithfully give you peace and comfort. Our prayers are with the whole family. God blessings on you all.

Words seem so futile when you hear about someone dying. I was in shock when mother told me. When we had class Sunday we could not do it. Too much sadness already that week and to hear this, it was too much. We all cried and talked about Malvin, W.A. and Jimmy. We shared verses to comfort each other along with the stories. I told everyone I felt Jimmy knew the Bible like he knew how to breathe. Mother and I are so sorry about Jimmy but we know he's at home and will be waiting for you Martha and his family.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

We will miss his wit & wonderful sense of humor. When he would see Roland he would sing "rollin' on the river" & I was ID Clare. Just made you smile every time. Brother Jimmie will be missed. You two were a great match. We
love you both.
May God wrap his loving arms around all who loved him and give us comfort. What a fine fella.
