As a distant family member, I wanted to express my sympathy for your loss of Linda. I recognized her parents name from my family genealogy work. My father, Johnny Borden Lewis, Sr. and Earnest O. McGugan were first cousins and spent a lot of time together as children. My grandmother was Bessie Ann Beavers Lewis, sister to Josie Beavers McGugan. I was born and raised in Havana, Arkansas and knew my great-grandparents until their deaths. W. L. and Mollie Beavers lived by my grandparents, John and Bessie Lewis. I remember visits by Aunt Jo and Earnest to Havana when I was a child.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely, Carolyn Lewis Yandell

Linda and I grew up together in the same neighborhood and went through 1-12 grades together in Benton.. We played in the woods and creek in our neighborhood a lot. Our parents did things together. She was a very good artist, painting beautiful pictures. She will be missed. Rest in peace, Linda.

Love to you,

Linda's parents and my parents were friends so we knew each other from childhood through high school. Our families vacationed together in Galveston, TX when we were six years old. I have photos of all of us on the beach (in black & white of course). Her dad had the first Polaroid camera I had ever seen. It was magic! Linda was sweet, beautiful and mature beyond her years even as a child. She will be missed but remembered by her friends.

Linda and I went through school together for 12 years. Our mothers were friends and we were often together. I still see her as the 10-year-old with honey-colored hair and baby blue glasses who liked
to come play in the woods behind my house. She loved to catch craw-dads in the creek! And once we made Divinity fudge and forgot to whip the egg whites. It smelled heavenly, but chewed like old sneakers!
Rest in peace, sweet little girl. I hope you find a creek and some craw dads in heaven. Love, Bonnie Jean
