Nathan J. Franklin, 80, of Booneville, Arkansas died March 5, 2015 . He was born March 26, 1934 in the Sugar Creek Community, the son of Jesse and Martha (Rushing) Franklin. He was a member of Grayson Assembly of God Church, a fourteen year employee of Cargill DPM meat processing plant in Booneville and a logger for forty years for multiple companies. Nathan loved the outdoors, working hard, and taught his children to respect God's House and others.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Franklin and Martha Franklin (Helton); his second wife, Martha Eileen (Hinkle) Franklin; three brothers, Leroy Franklin, C.G. Franklin, and Claude Franklin; two sisters, Mary Lee Gray and Johnnie Shepard.
Survivors are his wife of seven years, Joyce (Brannam) Franklin of the home; one daughter, Jerri Law and husband Jimmy of Van Buren; three step-daughters; three sons, Gerald Franklin and wife Kathy of Booneville, Garry Franklin and wife Paula of Cecil, and Jacky Franklin and wife Rhonda of Cecil; six step-sons; two sisters, Hazel Cleveland of Paris and Brunetta Richmond of Waldron; one brother, John Helton of Lavaca; thirty-three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be James Franklin, Tommy Franklin, Clyde Franklin, James Hise, Timmy Shepard and Jody Hester.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Hise and Carol Franklin.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Booneville Funeral Service Chapel.
Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Lick Creek Community Church with burial at Lick Creek Cemetery in Lick Creek Community under the direction of Booneville Funeral Service.

NATHAN WAS A GOOD FATHER-IN-LAW AND HE LOVED HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS, HE LOVED HIS GARDEN AND HE WAS A VERY HARD WORKER. MAY GOD BLESS HIS FAMILY AND BE WITH THEM ALL AT THIS TIME, TILL WE SEE HIM AGAIN .
