of Harrison, AR

March 7, 1935 - January 27, 2015

Fred Carroll Edmonson, age 79, of Harrison, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015, in Branson, Missouri. He was born March 7, 1935, in Harrison, the son of Samuel Lee and Zola (Riddle) Edmonson. Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae (Cooper) Edmonson; a son, Danny Ray Edmonson; two sisters, Juanita Johnson and Dorothy Harris; and five brothers, John A., Samuel, Sonny, Jack and Howard Edmonson.

Fred attended CrossRoads Community Church. He graduated from Bergman High School where he played on the 1953 State Championship team. He was an E-4 veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired from Arkansas Power and Light Company, now Entergy. He loved playing his guitar; played at the Monarch Club for many years; and doing framing. He loved his family, especially taking care of his wife Virginia, who went before him just two months ago. They are now together, exactly where he wanted to be.

Fred is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Pat Andrews and Denise and Landus Dutton; his sisters, Martha Smith, Barbara Harness, and Bea Powers; five grandchildren, Tiffany Dutton, Jason Dutton, Brandon Andrews, Amber Curtis and Kasey Morgan; five great-grandchildren, Drew Curtis, Claire Curtis, Abigail Andrews, Anna Andrews and Lincoln Sims; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Debbie, Denise, and Families -
God bless each of you, so sorry to hear of Fred's passing, but as the obituary said he's right where he wanted to be : with Virginia.
You're in my thoughts and prayers in your time of sorrow.
Fred, Virginia, and you girls are such a huge part of my childhood memories, family really. We all loved them and you girls. They'll be missed by many.
Much Love,
Cheryl
