Mrs. Phyllis E. Bacon, age 85, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Apple Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrison, Arkansas. She was born January 15, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to David L. and Dorothy Grace Gill McMahon. On October 8, 1966, she married Charles Bacon in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mrs. Bacon was an accountant with the Federal Highway Department. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was a volunteer. She also was a volunteer with the home health services of Baxter Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bacon loved her cats. Survivors are a daughter: Scherry (John) Levy: Harrison, Arkansas; two grandchildren: John David and Jennifer Levy; two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother: David G. McMahon. Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Reverend David Gadbaw officiating. Private interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or a favorite charity.
