J.V. "Pete" Appleton

J.V. “Pete” Appleton, 94, of Paris, Arkansas passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 in Paris. He was born on December 4, 1917 in Reveille Valley, Arkansas to his parents Lambert G. and Bulah (Rogers) Appleton. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Church of Christ in Paris and loved being with his family. Pete was retired from Cloyes Gear Company and a farmer.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Lambert and Bulah Appleton, his wife Treacy (Earls) Appleton and eight brothers and sisters.

Pete is survived by his daughter Linda Harrison of Paris, two sons Travis and James Cooper both of Paris, one sister Dorothy Horne of Ozark, nine grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Church of Christ in Paris with burial in Raney Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Cooper, Bruce Cooper, Bubba Cooper, Jay Cooper, Daniel Jackson and Max Harrison.

Honorary Pallbearers will be J.T. Rogers and Elmer Rogers.
