May 17, 1951 - August 4, 2012
Shirley Bradford Creech, 61, of Jonesboro went to be with her Heavenly Father August 4, 2012 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She lived in the Needham Community most of her life. She was born May 17, 1951 to Solomon and Ruby Bradford in Trumann, Arkansas.
She served the Lord, was a member of Needham Baptist Church and put her family second only to Him. Anyone who knew her would tell you that she was the hardest working woman they knew. During crop season you could always expect to see her working in the fields to help her husband provide for their family. Gardening was always a passion as well.
Shirley had many great accomplishments in her life. Among these are the many grandchildren, oh how she always loved to watch them enjoying their sporting activities as well as the wonderful times spent at Spring River. As of late, Shirley was passionate about the many cancer programs which assisted her in her time of need. Of these, the closest to her heart has been the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She served as team co-captain for Unilever for the past four years.
People would also say that she was mother to many beyond blood relation. Those who knew her as such would say that she was a pillar of stone for them. Throughout her life she was loved by many and she will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Mrs. Creech was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include husband, Gary Creech; one son, Greg Creech and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Dylan and Ashlyn of Needham; one daughter, Renee Summers and husband Michael; grandchildren, Abby, Ally, Brooke and Wade all of Jonesboro; two brothers, Elbert Bradford of Bay, Mike Bradford and wife Brenda of Bay; one sister, Carol Croy Haller and husband Lewis of Heber Springs.
