Mrs. Sally Joyce Huggins Sowell

Mrs. Sally Huggins Sowell 84, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1927 at Clinton, Arkansas. She was the sixth child born to the late John M. and Mary (Bonds) Caldwell.

She was a life long resident of Van Buren County and a long time member of First General Baptist Church of Clinton, Arkansas. At the age of three months her mother passed away and Sally was raised by her grandparents Steve and Belle Dora Bonds. She will be remembered as the greatest wife, mother, and grandmother we could have ever had.

She was preceded in death by the father of six children, Darris Huggins, two sons, Bill and Rick Huggins, and one grandson, Michael Huggins.

She is survived by her husband Johnny Sowell of Fairfield Bay, AR; two sons, Sam and Edna Huggins, and Steve and Kim Huggins both of Clinton, AR; two daughters, Dora Gail McNeil, and Debbie and Van Bowling both of Clinton, AR: two stepsons, Tony Sowell of Dallas, TX: and Chuck Sowell of Jacksonville, AR: eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, as well as an uncle H.K. Bonds whom she considered like a brother, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas.

Funeral Service will be 11:00am Friday, August 3, 2012 at First General Baptist Church Clinton, Arkansas with Pastors Charles Bennett and Bobby Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery.
