Walter John Carlson

Walter John Carlson, 88, of Marion, AR died July 30, 2012. Mr. Carlson was born on September 27, 1923 in Fergus Falls, MN. He was a Farmer and a Banker. He was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Carlson, parents, Walter Charles and Emma Christine Carlson; and sisters, Ruth Scott, Viola Alpe and Eunice Cole.

Survivors include his son, Walter “Buddy” Carlson of West Memphis, AR; daughters, Lois Ann Bryant of Carlisle, AR and Nancy Cupp of Paragould, AR; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Rogers of Hernando, MS; and brothers, Ralph Carlson of Lehi, AR and William Carlson of Lehi, AR.

A visitation will be Thursday from 9 till 10 AM at Marion First United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at Crittenden Memorial Park with Rev. Tom Letchworth officiating.
