Gene met the love of his life, Nancy and the both of them tried to run away and get married at the age of 13. The judge told them to go home and grow up. So at the age of 17, they were married in 1951 and he remained loving and faithful for 61 years.
He was an amazing man that completed a 4 year Sheet Metal Journeyman school, was an entrepreneur, a pilot, an author, and youth minister in Baton Rouge for several years before returning to Little Rock. He was a Pastor with a vision to see churches connected via satellite TV.

Above all his business successes, his greatest love was his wife and family. He was always a friend to everyone he met. He was an encourager. His message to everyone he met was that Jesus loved them and so did he. A man of great love can be said of Gene Mullenax.
