Mr. Larry "Pete" D. Passmore

Larry Douglas "Pete" Passmore, age 66 of Oxley, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, June 08, 2012 at Ozark Health in Clinton, Arkansas. He was born on October 01, 1945 in Marshall, Arkansas to Alton Passmore and Neva (Kuykendall) Passmore.

Pete was an Iron worker by trade, a carpenter and avid hunter by heart. While his job took him many places across the United States, his favorite place to be was sitting out back on the deck, listening to the sounds of nature and hoping to catch a glimpse of a passing deer or maybe a few turkeys. He loved to work in his shop, dabbling with this and that. His handiwork can be seen all around the county. While he was a bit of a perfectionist, he took pride in everything he did, and it showed in his work. He was never too busy to help a neighbor or break out the thermos, "take a break" and visit.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Hendrix Passmore; and his first grandchild, Daniel Luke Passmore.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Sharon (Sitton) Passmore of almost 50 years, they were married on October 09, 1962; two sons, Sam and wife Lisa of Russellville and Revel and wife Becky of Vilonia; one daughter, Charla Ragland and husband Gary of Landis; eight grandchildren, Seth Passmore and wife Jodi of Cabot, Daniel Passmore of Little Rock, Rachel Passmore of Cabot, Jake and Chris Ragland of Landis, Destinii Sturtz of Vilonia, Kameron Osborn and Taylor Passmore, both of Russellville; three great grandchildren, Bryson and Brylee Passmore of Cabot and Katie Ragland of Landis; two brothers, Daniel and Corbet Passmore; four sisters, Bernell, Betty, Emma and Barbara; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services for Pete will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 11, 2012 at Kuykendall Cemetery in Leslie, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Ragland and Bro. Tommy Jolly officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 till 4:00 PM Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Roller-Coffman Funeral in Marshall, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Pete's four grandsons, Seth and Daniel Passmore, Jake and Chris Ragland, along with Thad Chadwick and Ritchie Morrison.
