Lou Ann Ford, 79, was born to T. Welch and Lois Harshaw Mattox on October 21, 1932, in Stillwell, Oklahoma and died on May 29, 2012, in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Mrs. Ford was a former resident of Searcy, Arkansas and a retired bookkeeper.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rev. Marion Ford.
She is survived by a son, Bennett Van Patten (Susan) of Little Rock, three daughters, Gyla Wise (Stan) of Fort Myers, Florida, Tamara Heineman (George) of Coppell, Texas, Brenda Flora (Jerry) of Heber Springs, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2012, 6-8 pm at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Graveside Service to be Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 2 pm at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
In lieu of flowers, the Family requests memorials to St. Paul United Methodist Church in 2223 Durwood Road Little Rock 72207 and the Cleburne County Hospice in Heber Springs. A special thanks for the care given by the staff of Southridge Assisted Living in Heber Springs.
