Terry C. Boswell, age 72, of Harrison, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, May 13, 2012, in the comfort of his home with his loving wife of almost 53 years by his side. He was born July 13, 1939, in Russellville, Arkansas, the son of Travis Cledys and Laura Etta (Mosley) Boswell, who preceded him in death.
Terry faithfully served Eagle Heights Baptist Church as both a deacon and member. He was the art teacher at Harrison Junior High School for 21 years and the art and theme director at Dogpatch, USA for 24 years. Terry's life was a masterpiece, as he beautifully displayed Christ's love in the way he loved his family, others, and God. It was his life's goal to make sure others heard about Jesus Christ.
Mr. Boswell is survived by his wife Shirley, of the home; his son, Travis Boswell, of Harrison; two daughters, Laura Boswell Harness and husband Brian of Harrison and Mary Boswell Droddy and husband Jamey of Shreveport, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Jacob Boswell, Grant Harness and future wife Melanie, Giles Harness, Breezy Harness, and Jonah, Seth, Abram, and Gideon Droddy; and his brother, Ron Boswell, of Little Rock.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Eagle Heights Baptist Church, with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating.
Pallbearers were Grant Harness, Giles Harness, Jacob Boswell, Cory Rose, Butch Hinson, Brian Cash and Shelton Rose.
Honorary pallbearers were Terry’s Eagle Heights Baptist Church Sunday School Class, Harold McEntire, Dr. Rebecca Simon and Staff, Boone County Retired Teachers and Staff, Larry Cantrell, Legacy Hospice, Gary Barnard, Tommy Turner, Dale Minor, Paul Layton, Don Estep and Bob Garner.
Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
