Lonnie Joe Day Sr.

Lonnie Joe Day Sr., 46, of Onia, Arkansas entered into rest on Saturday, May 05, 2012 at his home. He was born in Leslie, Arkansas on December 8, 1965 to Bill and Nina Bernice Anna Lee (Depew) Day.

Lonnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He enjoyed doing mason work and also was going to receive a trophy for outstanding sportsmanship award.

He is survived by his wife; Jettia Day of Onia, Arkansas, son Lonnie Joe Day Jr. of Mtn. View, Arkansas, daughters; Misty Cruz of Batesville, Arkansas, Melissa Xal of Clinton, Arkansas, Dixie Steiger of Onia, Arkansas, Tiffany Blue of Batesville, Arkansas, Charli Branscum of Onia, Arkansas, Rebekah Day of Onia, Arkansas and Cheyenne Day of Onia, Arkansas. Brothers and Sisters; Ronnie and his wife Susan of Mtn. View, Arkansas, Arnold McDaniel of Mtn. View, Arkansas, Henry Day and his wife Ruth of Oklahoma, Otis Day and his wife Jeannie of Mtn. View, Arkansas, Roberta Kelley and husband Henry of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mary Ginn and husband Roger of Pleasant Grove, Bobby Day and wife Lisa of Mtn. View, Arkansas, Janie Mingues Marc Meisel of Batesville, Arkansas, Danny Day and Tina Downs of Batesville. Grandchildren Daniel Cruz, Tamera Cruz, Alexis Lara, Elizabeth Lara, Victor Xal, Anthony Branscum, Laci Branscum, Gabriella Day, Robert Day, Patience Day, Lance Day, Karma Day, Jermiah Rodrigues, Christian Flores and Madison Furrow. And many loving nieces and nephews.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Nina Bernice Day, sister Inas Lina Day Trammell Lucy and brothers Billy Don Day and Jimmy Darrell Day.

Visitation is 5p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Vine Street Baptist Church.

Graveside Service is 3p.m., Monday, May 7, 2012 at Pordue Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Melissa Xal, Lonnie Joe Day Jr., Johnny McDaniel, Chris Day and Curt Woody.
Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Woody, Bobby Mingues, Curtis Woody, Sean Steiger, Will Steiger, Danny Day, Elvis Mingues, Lonnie Mingues and Robert Trammell.
