Robert Lee (Bob) Bures, Jr., 77, of Des Arc, AR and formerly of North Little Rock, passed away May 4, 2012, at his home in Des Arc after a seven year battle with lung cancer.
He was born March 4, 1935, to Robert Bures, Sr. and Lucille Price Bures in De Valls Bluff. Bob was a 1953 graduate of North Little Rock High School, and a heavy equipment operator/mechanic for Ben M. Hogan Construction Co. for over forty years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Des Arc.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cornelia (Connie) Bures; two sons, Keith (Karen) Bures of Aiken, SC and Clayton (Barbara) Bures of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Melissa (Daniel) Hudson, Ashley Bures, Clay Bures all of Jacksonville; one brother, Dale Bures of Scott, AR; four step-grandchildren and two step-great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, also Pete and Trouble.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, May 6th at Garth’s Funeral Home, Des Arc, AR. Funeral will be Monday, May 7th at First Baptist Church in Des Arc at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Griffithville, AR.
