Mr. Horace H.M. Williamson

Horace Manning (H.M.) Williamson, 88 of Searcy passed away Tuesday May 1, 2012. He was born November 24, 1923 in Grubbs, Arkansas, to the late Henry M. and Pearl Coe Williamson.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Alta Blagg Williamson, a son Robert Dale Williamson (Anna) of Carpinteria, CA., a daughter Joan M. Jones (Erner) of Sherwood, Arkansas, six grandchildren Christy Wagner (Rodney) of Cabot, Kelly Crowson (Jay) of Little Rock, Lesley Brown (Thomas) of California, Kimberly Pappas (George) of California, Lori Peterson (Kurt) of Colorado, Brett Jones (Gee Gee) of Colorado, nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters.

H. M. started his 40 year career with AP&L (Entergy) in Newport and later transferred to Searcy to be a distribution designer where he retired in 1985.

H. M. a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy, where he was extremely active as long as his health allowed. He was also a Gideon where he took part in the jail ministry.

He loved to garden, often sharing fresh vegetables with his neighbors. His real passion was traveling with his beloved wife, hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Thursday May 3, 2012 from 6-8- PM and Funeral Services May 4, 2012 at 2 PM at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Noel officiating.
Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund, 161 East Moore Street, Searcy, Arkansas, 72143.
