Jerry R. Sexton, age 72, of Jonesboro, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born November 12, 1939 at Newport. He was a City Planner for the city of Memphis. Mr. Sexton was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ. He loved gardening, yard work and being outdoors. Jerry served in the U.S. Army.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Vida Langley Sexton.
Survivors include a daughter, Mandi Martillo of Jonesboro; a grandson, Slade Jenkins of Horn Lake, MS; and a sister, Wilma Sexton of Jonesboro.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
