Shirley Sue (Clark) Reeves, age 66, of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, April 30, 2012 in Marshall. She was born on November 15, 1945 in Onia, Arkansas to Aldrun Reece and Cora Elizabeth (Baker) Reece.
Shirley was a member of the Church of Christ. She worked many years for the Marshall School District. The last few years, she worked in private home care. She loved helping people in her community. Shirley dearly enjoyed life on the small farm where she grew up as number nine of fourteen children. She loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed growing her vegetable and flower garden. Shirley especially loved visiting, talking and laughing with her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Reeves is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ray Clark; one sister, Floyce L. Everett; two brothers, Prevo and Arvin Reece; and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband, Rodger Reeves of the home; one daughter, Tammie Wood and husband William (Woody) of Pottsville; one son Lance Clark and wife Debbie of Lincoln, MO; five sisters, Bernice Johnson of Jerome, ID, Joy Aldeek of Orland Park, IL, Sherion Gust and husband Don of Bourbonnais, IL, Brenda Freeman and husband Rick of Big Flat and Linda Haddock of Mountain View; five brothers, L.Z. Reece and wife Monnie of Mahomet, IL, Jim Reece of Jerome, ID, Lerman Reece and wife Liaya of Bourbonnais, IL, Terry Reece of Long Creek and Rendal Reece of Bradley, IL; two stepdaughters and two stepsons; three grandchildren, Anthony and Stephanie Wood of Pottsville and Jessie (Jace) Clark of Marshall; and nine step-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Shirley will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 03, 2012 at East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 02, 2012 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Wood, Terry Reece, Lerman Reece, Rendal Reece, L.Z. Reece and Heath Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be Jace Clark, Chad Freeman, William Wood and Lance Clark.
