Mr. Richard Russell Rea

Richard Russell Rea, age 68, of Harrison, passes away on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison. Richard was born on July 17, 1943, in Harrison, the son of Russell and Pauline (Goodson) Rea. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Tom and Hattie Rea and Roy and Zula (Milum) Goodson.

Richard was a member of Northvale Baptist Church for thirty six years. He married Bobbie Livingston on November 30, 1975 at Northvale Baptist Church. He was a loyal employee of Claridge Products for forty years. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, husband, father and grandfather.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Nell Rea, of the home; his daughter, Toshia Workman, of Hollister, Missouri; and two granddaughters, Tanah Pollock of Springfield, Missouri and Seinna Workman of Hollister.

Richard is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Judi Rea and Paul and Darla Rea, all of Bakersfield, California; and a host of other family and many dear friends.

Visitation was Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Rev. David Talburt officiating.

Pallbearers were Doyle Massengale, Robert Hudson, Darren Messick, Harry Wagoner, Andy Workman and Hilton West.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Tom Langston, Dr. Ali Abdelaal, Dr. Scott Ferguson, Caretakers: Brenda and Chris, friends and neighbors: Nina Massengale, Jean and Peggy Villines, Butch and Laurie Horis, Bob and Carolyn Coker, Richard Chaney and Tammy Jennings, nurses: Amy Murray & Erva Lee Moore, and the staff at Hospice of the Hills.

Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
