Mary Clay Crawford of Little Rock died Sunday, September 18, 2011. She was born at Luxora, Arkansas, a daughter of Sam Clay Bowen and Mary Patterson Bowen. She taught school in the Blytheville School District for 35 years and was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Maxine Harrison and Mary Harriette Crawford; and a sister, Frances Wilson.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Charles Harrison; and friends, Kathy Kent and Nell Kent both of Rosedale, Mississippi, Frances and Bob Sandberg of Florida; and a host of friends at Parkway Village and Highland Valley United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Crawford was a devoted member of Highland Valley UMC and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Crawford was a beautiful person - so spiritual and so giving. We will miss her very much at Highland Valley UMC. I particularly remember the beautiful jewelry she liked to wear and what a joy it was to talk with her.
