Ms. Thelma was one of my teachers from Ellen Smith. She was always at the West Desk on Saturday when I came to decorate the Christmas tree for the Hospital lobby. She would watch me for a few minutes then ask 'would you mind if I help you?'. When we were done, she would always tell me what a good job I did. I'd tell her I couldn't have done it without you. The Christmas tree and I will both miss you Ms. Thelma!
WE ARE SAD TO LEARN OF HER DEATH. SHE WAS A SPECIAL PERSON. WE GOT TO SEE HER ABOUT A YEAR AGO. WE DID NOT KNOW SHE HAD BEEN SICK. (GEORGE'S GRANDMOTHER WAS HER AUNT MARTHA SOWELL ) YOUR FAMILY WILL BE IN OUR PRAYERS.
Janice and Gerald,
Your mom was a very special lady with such a kind, sweet spirit. My life was made richer from having known her. I have missed seeing her in early church, but was so happy to hear she had gone to be with you, Gerald. She so loved her family! Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Janice and Gerald,
I was crazy about your Mother and so was Bobby. Of course I have known your family forever and even taught with your Mother at Sallie Cone the first part of my career. I miss sitting across from her in early church and giving her a hug each Sunday. She was so strong, so determined, and such a character! She was proud of you both. I will really miss her. She was a dear friend. Julie
So sorry for your loss Janice.
