Elizabeth Angelo ''Betty'' Landry, age 81, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Meraux, Louisiana, passed peacefully from this life and stepped across the threshold into our Father's kingdom on Thursday, August 5, 2010.
She was born September 26, 1928, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Captain Edward George and Elizabeth Catherine Fruh Angelo. On February 10, 1951, she married Huey P. Landry in Harrison County, Mississippi. She was a homemaker and lived in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, for 48 years. A member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, she was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.
Mrs. Landry was the beloved wife of Huey P. Landry: of the home; loving mother of Debra Landry Siler (mother-in-law of Mark Siler): Pass Christian, Mississippi; and Linda Landry Brandt (mother-in-law of William Brandt): Mountain Home, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Spencer, Kirk and Ingrid Anderson; Maxwell and Alex Brandt; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a twin brother: Edward G. Angelo.
Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Friday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. A Vigil Service will be at 7:00 P.M. Friday in the Roller Chapel with Reverend Stan Swiderski officiating. Entombment will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 9, 2010, at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chalmette, Louisiana. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
