Victor Douglas Royce, 79, of Osceola, AR, retired riverboat engineer, passed away April 9, 2007 surrounded by his loving wife of 51 years, Helen and family. Victor was born in Green County, IN and has been a resident of Osceola for over 40 years. As a young man he enlisted in the Navy, after his tour, he then enlisted in the Air Force. He retired from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant with 24 years of service with many medals and unit ribbons. He was a true patriot. Victor was a very zealous motorcycle enthusiast He loved to jump on his Harley and just ride. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. Mr. Royce was a Christian and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Osceola. Mr. Royce leaves a wife Helen; 3 sons: Steve Royce of Osceola, Mark Royce of Jonesboro , David Royce of Horn Lake, MS.; a grand daughter Charalle Mann (Bubba) of Horn Lake, MS, a grandson Chad Royce of Southaven , MS., 2 great grandchildren: Dawson and Savannah Mann of Horn Lake, MS., one brother Bill Royce of Alabama and one sister Margie Coomes of Florida,; in-laws Junior Liles of Osceola , Annie and Wade Musick of West Memphis , Peggy and Richard Goldenbaum of New Jersey, Loiz Kizer of Osceola, and Many nieces and nephews.

Victor was the father of 5 children - Mary, Billy, Steve, Mark and David. He also had 6 grandchildren - Shawn, Sonja, BJ., Michael, Charalle, and Chad. Also he was blessed with 5 great-grandchildren - Brandon, Holden, Dawson, Savannah and Tyler. He is loved by his family and sorely missed.

I cant say that I knew him well for the fact that i only meet him tweice. But I will really miss him. Vic was the 2nd family member that i never had a chance to really get to know before they passed on. This is not the way i want remember the rest of my family. Ms. Helen and family, Words can not begin to express the feelings my family had for Victor. It was such a blessing for us to have know such a wonderful man. He loved the Lord, his military record, his asscociation with the Christian Motorcyle Association, and last but diffently not least his FAMILY. He loved you all so very much. All of you will continue to be in our prayers as you face the days ahead. Please remeber that even tho he suffered here on this earth he is now in Heaven having a grand time.
