Raybourne A. Bone
of Little Rock, AR
August 17, 1913 - September 21, 2005
Raybourne A. Bone 92 of Clinton slipped quietly into his heavenly home Wednesday (Sept. 21, 2005). He was born in Izard County, Arkansas on August 7, 1913 to the late Stephen Wilson Bone and Rachel McElmurry Bone. He grew up in rural North Arkansas as the son of a farmer. His churches were Floral Baptist Church, First Baptist Church in Clinton and Calvary Baptist Church of Batesville. Following his retirement to Clinton he continued to serve as an interim pastor and supply preacher for various churches. Introducing people to the grace of God was his mission in life. He lived by the greatest commandments as spoken by Christ to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind…and love your neighbor as yourself. Intertwined in all of that was his love for his family.
He was a thirty-second degree Mason, member of the sons of the American Revolution ad a member of Magna Carta Barons.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Meda Kathryn Edwards Bone, of Clinton, three sons, Paul and wife Faye of Clinton, Gayle and wife Sandy of Little Rock and Larry and wife Jan of Little Rock, brother Nelson Bone and wife Juanita of Memphis, TN, six grandchildren, Steve Bone and wife Pam of Clinton, Adrianne Wilburs and husband Andy of Clinton, Michele Glover and husband Phil of Little Rock, Mike Bone and wife Keri of Little Rock, Rachael Bone of Vail, CO, Chad Bone and wife Lori of Pleasant Plains and Jordan Bone of Little Rock, Great grandchildren Charles & Matthew Wilburs, Abigail Bone, Jennifer, Amanda and Haley Glover and Jordie Bone.
