Cheryl Ann Loyd Potter

of Conway, AR

August 20, 1962 - August 7, 2005

Cheryl Potter (Cheryl Ann Loyd Potter) of Conway is now filling her new home with love and laughter as she did with all her family. Even though we sadly miss the whole person, this love and laughter will linger in our hearts forever. She was one of God's most beautiful gifts from above and was loved by everyone. She nurtured and cherished every action of her grandchildren. Her children sat at her feet, and she was her husband's love, friend and motherly advisor. She was the baby sibling and was loved and spoiled by a wonderful mother. Her siblings shared life with her almost daily. She was here today, now gone tomorrow. True she is gone from our sight, but she is truly visible to her children and stepfather that preceded her.

Cheryl gave up her life Sunday, August 7, 2005, at the age of 42. She was the most beautiful baby born at Little Rock on August 20, 1962. She was a wonderful homemaker for her family and friends. She started the Women's Running Clinic in Arkansas that has encouraged thousands of women all over the state to run and or walk. She started the Excel Upward abstinence and character building program at Vilonia. She was a happy member of New Life Church.

She is already painfully missed by her husband, Don Potter; her mother, Eula Petty of Conway; her father and stepmother, J.D. and Pat Loyd of Mount Vernon; her son, Josh Cossey of Maumelle; her daughters, Cristin Jensen of Conway, Charlotte Patton of Little Rock; her "Granny" children, Skylar and Gabrielle; her son-in-laws, Michael Jensen and Ralph Patton; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Pam Loyd of Mount Vernon, her sisters and brother-in-laws, Linda and George Terry of Moulton, Alabama and Donna and Mike Montgomery of Moulton, Alabama; special aunts, uncle, nieces, cousins and lots of precious school and church friends. She was preceded in life by; two precious children, Jacob Cossey and Chase Potter; by a wonderful stepfather who loved her as a father for 24 years.

Services to celebrate her good life will be Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. at New Life Church, 1105 Deer Street, Conway. She will be placed next to her son, Chase Potter, in the earth near her home at Crestlawn Memorial Park on Highway 64 east of Conway. Don, Eula, and the family encourage you to share a happy moment, but very sad time with us, Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

Pallbearers are Shawn Terry, Brandon Terry, Jeremy McDougal, Rusty Loyd, Corey Green and Jarod Green.

We know that God loves you more than we do so may He be your love forever as you were to us.

Don and family, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I lived across the road from you, (was Michelle Garrett) and just loved Chase and Cheryl. I didn't learn of Chase's death until weeks later and only learn of Cheryl's passing this morning. I always wondered how Chase was doing after I moved. He used to come over and play with my puppies. I am so sorry for you and your family and I pray that God will give you comfort during this trying time. Michelle
