Homer B. Branan, Jr., 96, of Cordova, TN passed away on May 31, 2015.
He was born on March 23, 1919 to Homer B. Branan, Sr. and Marie Ensor Branan in Deckerville, AR. He was a World War II veteran, serving in Central Europe with the United States Army Battery A 911th Field Artillery Battalion. Mr. Branan graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor's in Education. He was an educator who taught in Tyronza, AR prior to going to Ford Motor Company as a Regional Manager. He then worked at Nationwide Supply Company before establishing his own real estate company, Real Southern, Inc.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Margaret Sanders Branan; 1 son, Homer B. Branan, III (Debra) of Memphis, TN; 2 daughters, Pam Branan of Cordova, TN, Patricia Branan Wendell (Dan) of Nashville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Daisy Tucker Branan Schunk, Homer B. Branan, IV, Michael Laird Gowdy, Whitney Fraiser Branan; 3 great-grandchildren, Julian Boyd Branan, Daisy Tucker Schunk, and Shelby Fisher Schunk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer B. Branan, Sr. and Marie Ensor Branan; and 3 sisters, Louise Branan White, Eloise Branan Sellers, and Betty Jean Branan Brean.
