Thinking of you and missing you, my dear sister and friend. 🥰
I know you are not here physically, but you have still not left our sides. Thank you for the tender moments your memory and spirit pop in. I treasure them. Your children are beautiful, just as you would have raised them. Travis has done an amazing job. Maria and I miss sharing so much with you. I don't know how I came upon this tonight, but had to post a thought. I love you. I still hear your voice and your laughter and my heart misses you. I just read Emilie's post below. Oh that girl has many gifts from the Lord. See ya on the other side soul sister ! Thanks for the times you've been my Guardian Angel <3 Tammy
I thought of you today and even though my heart ached & I cried, I also praised The Lord, smiled, & felt a sense of peace & joy because I know where you are, I know Jesus is there, & I know I'm going some day!
I prayed & thanked Him for choosing you as the person who would help open my eyes & ears to Truth. And now as I think back over these several years since I was saved , I realize I never thanked YOU face to face; for saying yes to The Lord when He prompted you to speak of Him & take a stand for Him. I never shared just how much I appreciated you leading me in prayer & actually praying FOR me & loving me while I was still lost. I never said how grateful I am to you for teaching me according to God's will & His Word instead of using your own. I never said thank you for your continued guidance after my salvation, & for setting a constant wonderful example. Therefore, I'm using this moment to let you know, I am & will forever be thankful to you Kim, for living a consistant, vivid, heart-felt Christian life before my very eyes...while all the time giving glory to God for every victory, because you knew it was His Spirit working in you & through you that ultimately saved me. And though I give my highest praise to The Lord for His precious Son & for saving me, I also praise him for the blessing of your friendship during the most important time in my life (here). Thanks again my sweetest sister & forever friend :0)
"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

Happy birthday Kim! I woke up today thinking of you and imagining the celebration that you are having in heaven. I sure do miss you here on earth - our talks, your laughter and daily presence in my life. I long to hear your voice but know that "an angel" is always watching over me. I love you sweet friend! See you soon, Ellen
Not a day goes by that I don't think of Kim, and the strong influence that she was on my life. I miss her dearly. "Time is not measured by the years that you live, but by the deeds that you do, and the joy that you give. And each day as it comes, brings a chance to each one... to love to the fullest, leaving nothing undone, that would brighten the life or lighten the load of some weary traveler lost on life's road. So what does it matter how long we may live? If as long as we live - we unselfishly give." This poem by Helen Steiner Rice should be titled "Kim Evans".
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers are with you all.
I'm saying a little prayer that The Lord will pass this message on to you, my dearest friend, my sister in Christ. As holidays and birthdays have come and gone, and through chatting with the girls over coffee, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I miss your tender words and prayers lifting me and your sweet acts of love and kindness so freely given to all who passed your way. I thank God every day for you, for your example. There will never be another like you girlie! I'll see you in Heaven. Save me a spot!
Our (My) precious Kim. Each one of us could speak that today. Although this time has gone by, which seems like yesterday, you continue to speak to us through the awesome and unbelievable ministry you gave during your short time with us. Unbelievable testimonies still continue to pour out among all you have touched, guided by our Lord. Birthday gatherings will never be the same. Tissue paper fyling from the windows with nothing by the wind in our hair and laughter from our souls, will never be the same. You still spoke to us with Jer 29:11 the other day. Wow! What an experience that was! Our trials and hurts still go on in this worldly place, but let's not call it home. You have arrived (you just probably wanted to be first to get it all ready with signs, like your garage sales and our holiday parties!) I miss the moments today of calling you while dropping off kids at school and talking about our day. We all miss a big part of you. Your hand is still placed so proudly on Travis, Landon and Emily with love and a heavenly peace. Your parents (both sets) you also have not forgotten with love. Our selfish side wants you back, our spiritual side longs to be with you. So, until our work on this earth is done, we are thankful to have been 'touched by an Angel' in ways we would have never known. Dearest friend and sister, I love you..... See you On The Other Side. Tammy Grygar
As I read the other messages, I cry and smile at the same time, what a daughter, wife, mother and friend, and especially a child of God. Lloyd & Darlene, her life is a beautiful testimony. I know your hearts are hurting, but God called her home now for a reason. We don't know the reason, but He does. Trust Him, and consider yourselves hugged. Prayer and Love to all. Linda L Johnson
High School seemed so long ago, although the memory of Kim's smile makes it seem like only yesterday. Just know that she is watching over you with her angelic smile. My deepest sympathy to her family. You are in my prayers. Denise
So sorry to hear of the tragedy. May God's guiding light shine down upon you and give you strength during this time of sorrow. Robert & Dot Walker
As I type this, I stare at a photo of Kim and me, and all of the fun memories, silly things she did, love & compassion she showed to others, just comes flooding back to my mind. Kim and I met when my family moved across the street from her family. I remember one of the first things she ever spoke to me was that she had been praying for another best friend and now she had one right across the street. She loved all people from the very first moment of meeting them. I remember how she so very patiently and lovingly led me out of The Mormon (LDS) church by setting such a wonderful christian example & through her gentleness, she taught me correct Bible verses. She allowed The Lord to use her as His tool in every relationship and in every aspect of her life. We talked many times about marriage, family, friendships and Heaven. Through those conversations I learned how much she loved Travis, her children , her parents (both sets) & her extended family and friends with all of her heart. And how she was ready, any moment, any day, to be with The Lord. So everytime we talked, after she comforted me about whatever problems I had, I always walked away knowing without a doubt, that she loved The Lord and wated whatever He wanted for her. I have felt such a blanket of peace because of that knowledge. I know that she's with God, right where she wants to be, & probably asking Him a million questions and trying to re-decorate! I love her, I miss her, yet I'm more grateful than I can express for the life that she lead. She changed mine for the better in so many ways. Now I look forward to seeing her in Heaven in due time ,so that we can worship & praise and sing for The Lord together! Travis, Landon, Emmi, & family...we are always here for you & we love you! Much love, Staci, Matt, Ty, Charley Rae & Hayden The Stellges Family
Darlene and Lloyd, Our deepest sympathy to you and Kim's young and precious family. Our hearts are broken. Kim lived in Christ and is with him at this moment. With our love, thoughts and prayers always. Pat and Don
Our deepest sympathy..
I want to convey my sympathy for your loss. Kim and i were classmates at Gladewater. My family will be praying for you during this time.
I went to high school with Kim and I have not stopped thinking about her since I heard of this tragic loss. What a truly awesome person. I honestly did not have one memory of her that she wasn't smiling, just friendly to everyone. When I first moved to Gladewater she was one of the first to be nice to me. I have never forgotten it. Please know her family is in my prayers.
Travis, our hearts and prayers go out for you and your family. If you ever need anything at all, please give us a call. We are truly sorry and hope you have a blessed future.
Please know that you, Kim's precious family are in our thoughts and our prayers. May God comfort you during your time of loss. God's Blessings to each of you. Anita Demby
Yesterday, my wife Sheryl and I attended Kim's funeral at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas. We were both very uplifted by what we saw and heard in the memorial service. We had not known Kim very well. I knew Travis well, but we only met Kim a few times at house church meetings before they moved to Arkansas. But even in those few meetings, it was clear that she was the kind of young woman who instantly exudes the Lord's presence with her smile and warm heart. Yesterday after the funeral I felt like I knew her well. It was one of the largest crowds I have ever seen at a funeral. The new sanctuary at Hillcrest must hold at least 800 or 900 and the crowd was standing room only. There must have been close to 1000 people there. What a testimony to this young woman's life in Jesus that she would have influenced so many people in her short life. It was amazing. One of the most touching portions of the service was when their young daughter, Emilie, went to the piano and played a gorgeous arrangement of 'Amazing Grace' flawlessly. Such strength of spirit and character can only come for the Lord. One thing that was said by the minister from Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock stuck out to me. He said he had eulogized many people much older than Kim. He related an incident where he preached the funeral of one old sister in her 90's and when asking the family for things to say about her, about all they could come up with was the she liked to sit on the porch and watch the traffic. "She lived over nine decades and that was all they could say of her!," he said. Yet Kim, who lived only a third of that, had such a testimony of the Lord's life in her that there wasn't enough time in an afternoon to tell it all. May we all strive to live such a life in Jesus that the telling of it when we're gone far outlives our time spent here on Earth. Kim's spiritual legacy will indeed live on for a very long time. There were many other things to say about this memorial to Kim that I don't have the time to write. I do have to confess that listening to everything that was said yesterday made me feel a little ashamed of myself. Why am I not more filled with the joy of Jesus? Why is His presence not manifest in me as it should be? And even though I know Kim would not want anyone comparing themselves to her, as she and Travis are two of the most humble people I've ever met, hearing about Kim's life in Christ made me take inventory of my own. And that's a good thing. Blessings to all of you in Christ Jesus.
God needed a beautiful flower for His garden in Heaven. He knew that Kim's inner beauty and strength along with her outer beauty would be the perfect combination. I am thankful to Him for allowing me to know her for a brief time. May His spirit comfort all of you now and in the days ahead, and until He calls for us to join her in His wonderful garden: Heaven.
Darlene & Lloyd -- No words can adequately tell you how much our hearts are grieving with you. With your strong love for each other, your tremendous scope of friends, and your strong faith in God, maybe the pain of losing your precious daughter will ease in time. I know Kim brought so much love and joy to not only you but all those that were privileged enough to know her. Our thoughts and prayers will stay strong for you, Travis, Landon, Emily and all of the other family and friends of the family. Love, Myra & Bob Babin

Darlene and Lloyd, I was so shocked and saddened when I heard about Kim. My heart goes out to you at this time and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I could not believe when I heard of this tragedy. I met Kim at The Miss Teen Arkansas pageant just a couple of weeks ago. She was such a sweet and beautiful person. I remember her telling me, she would have no problem remembering my name becaues it was the same as her mother's and I thought to myself I would not have any trouble remembering her name becaues she was so beautiful and sweet. She always had a smile on her face. My heart goes out to her family. Darlene Weatherley
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Kim's family. Kim and I were classmates. She was a beautiful young woman. My prayers are with you. "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." (2 Corinthians 5:1) Sincerely, Odette

Travis, I'm so sorry to hear about Kim, she was the nicest person anyone could have ever meet. I know i did'nt know her as well as others but it felt like i knew her just because of the wonderful things you would say about her. I know it's going to be a rough road ahead but just keep your head held high and look to the lord and he will guide you through life. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm here for you and the kids. I'll keep praying for the kids, you, and everyone else's life this has effected. TRAVIS I MEAN IF YOU NEED ANYTHING CALL ME OR COME BY OUR OFFICE. May this day and the rest of your life be blessed.
To Travis, Landon,Emilie: Lean on the Lord for all of your strength, for He is a very present help in the time of trouble. Lean not to thine own understanding but acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. My prayers are for all of Kim's family and friends. May God's blessings be yours. I attended GHS with Kim and she was a great inspiration.
Words cannot express my deep sorrow and anguish in the passing of our precious friend Kim. She touched my life like no other - an angel sent from God to grace my life for a mere 2 years. I will never be the same again. Kim was a true servant of God placed on this earth for 38 short years. Her constant love and encouragement spoke into my daily life - I will miss her sweet voice calling me and leaving those special messages that only Kim could do. .."I love you", "I hope you are having a good day", I pray that the Lord will shine his light on you today"..... I will never forget what Jeff Spry said in her service at PV - comparing Kim to Esther in the Bible: Esther 2:15.... "and Esther found favor in the eyes of all saw her". That truly captured the essence of Kim Evans. To Travis, Landon and Emilie - we at CAC, your church and the LR community who know, love and adore your family will take every human measure possible to come along side of you during the difficult days ahead. We are your family in AR and love you so much! We are committed to taking on your burdens as if they were our own - as only a brother and sister in Christ can do. To Kim's parents, in-laws and rest of family - In memory...her voice still echoes, her life still inspires, her light still shines...and always will. I'm so thankful that I knew Kim. She lives on in so many hearts....including mine. All my love, Ellen
Kim was such a beautiful person on the inside and out. Her life was an inspiration to me to have a closer walk with my Lord and Savior. Kim, I know you are worshipping at the feet of Jesus. To the Evans and Steadmans, my prayers are with you.
My precious Kimbo- One BIG smile, one BIG heart and always a kind word. I was truly blessed to have known you and to be a part of our special ya-ya sisterhood group. I thank the Lord for letting me keep all those wonderful memories in my heart. I know that I will need to pull them out and think about them often to help me deal with your loss. I will keep a watchful eye and listening ear for your beloved Travis and precious Landon and Emilie whenever they need me. I pray the the Lord will cradle each of them, including your dear mom and dad and precious in-laws. I pray that the Lord will give each of them the comfort and peace that they seek. I look forward to picking up where we left off sweet friend when I see you on the the other side. I will love you forever Kimbo!
Darlene, We are so very sorry to hear of Kim's passing. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Dear Travis.....Words cannot express the sadness I feel in my heart today. My heart was broken when I learned of Kim's death. Anyone that knows you certainly knows the love you have for Kim and your children. I know that you will not understand any of this now. You will need to put your trust in the promises of the almighty God to help you get through and to help you raise your children without her by your side. You are the kindest man on this earth and God is going to wrap you and your family in his tender loving care. If there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to call me. You are always held close to my heart.
Lloyd and Darlene, Our hearts ache for you in this tremendous loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Know that you will be given the strength to get thru this. If there is anyway we can help please call on us. Nancy & Lee Rains
Emilie and Landon, I want you to know that I share your pain of losing a parent so suddenly and under tragic circumstances. My father fell from our house, in 1997, and although I was much older than you, I just could not understand why he was taken without so much as a last minute “I love you” before he passed away. But I also know that my friends and church family, helped comfort me (as they will each of you), during the weeks and months that followed. They still help me today! Yes, I still miss him so much and I wish I could talk to him for even just a few short moments, and also give him one last hard-squeezing hug goodbye. Well, of course, I know that will not happen here on earth, but I am comforted because I know we will someday have a chance to see my Dad and your Mom in Heaven. Kim knows that you will continue to make her proud and that you will join her one day, because you were raised knowing first-hand what true, unconditional love God has given each of us. But you must remember that wonderful gift of love and continue to let her light shine through you. You can be comforted forever and ever by knowing that her love and God’s love is always right there within you, because it is stamped on your hearts and souls. So try to allow that love to bring warmth to your hearts and bring a smile all the way up to your faces, especially when you feel so sad that you think you might just break into a million pieces. Travis, my heart is so heavy knowing that you and Emilie and Landon have such a tremendous challenge ahead of you. I hope you know, but I will remind you anyway, that any of us here in your church family in Little Rock, will always be ready in a moment’s notice to be there for you and Emilie and Landon. Any of us are just a phone call away. Of course, God is just a prayer away, which is even better, but sometimes like the lyrics in the song, “Lean on me” – you just need a friend to lean on ..... If there is a load You have to bare That you can't carry I'm right up the road I'll share your load If you just call me Call Me If you need a friend Call Me If you need a friend We love you and will continue to keep each one of you and your families in TX in our prayers, Sonja
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God be with you during this very hard time.
Kim and I graduated together, I could believe it when I read the paper. I am sorry for your loss, she was a very beautiful person inside and out. I will always remember her smiling face, she never met a stranger and she was always friendly to everybody. May God Bless each one you during this time of loss and my family will keep you in our prayers.
My prayers have been for you since I heard about your daughter , even though I only knew her through Charlotte. What a wonderful girl she was. I know she will always be an inspiration to those who had the priviledge to know her. Marcene Arceneaux
May you draw strength from your walk with the Lord. Our hearts are in sorrow for your loss. Love, Mary & Alfred
I was only blessed with meeting Kim one time, but heard of the amazing person that she was from her dear friend Ellen Templeton. She really did light up a room with just her smile. I am so sorry for your loss and know that Kim will live on through all the lives that she touched in her 38 years. I will continue praying for your family and all Kim's friends. My thoughts are with you all. In Christ, Debbie McCuin
Darlene, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your precious daughter Kimberly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
THERE ARE NO WORDS TO EXPRESS THE SORROW THAT I FEEL OVER YOUR LOSS. KIM WAS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON INSIDE AND OUT AND I KNOW THAT SHE WAS A WONDERFUL DAUGHTER AS WELL. CHERISH THE MEMORIES; SHE WILL LIVE IN YOUR HEART FOREVER.
Kim was such a generous godly woman. I am thankful that I was able to know her and learn by her example during my college years. She loved her Lord, her family, and life. By example she showed me how to be a great wife and mother. Her home and heart were always open to the college kids. She was the type of mother and wife that I would like to become one day. Travis, Landon, and Emilie, you are in my prayers and thank you for sharing your wife and mother with the Hillcrest College Class.
We want you and your family to know that our prayers are with you. Darlene is a friend of ours.
Praying that God give your family a peace that passess all understanding during this time of sorrow. Glenn and Leah Hamilton and Boys (Jamon's brother and sister-in-law)

I am so sorry about your daughter. I have been so crushed since I saw it in the paper Sunday morning. There is only one person that we can depend on to bring us through this tragic accident and that is the Lord. I know you have a strong faith in God and now you have two grandchildren that will be looking to you for strength and guidance. You can do this for Kimberly. You will be in my prayers continually. You have always been a inspiration to me. Keep the faith and if you need me for anything--even to talk, please call me and I will be there for you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I failed to put in my city. Please correct it for me. Thank you
Dear Travis, Landon, and Emily, Kim came into my life this past year and I realized quickly what a genuine, wonderful , christian lady I had gotten to know. She was so proud of each of you and the love you could feel when she was sharing something about her family was so evident. I loved teaching with her and her smile brought God into every situation she was a part of. I thank God and you for sharing her with me. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. SIncerely, Kathy Bentley
I remember many conversations with Kim in which she reflected God's love--about being a godly woman, a submissive wife, a good friend, and a Christian witness to those around us. Her influence in my life has impacted me in a way that I will never forget. My husband, Chris, and I thank God that Kim was a part of our lives while we were in the college Sunday school class at Hilcrest Baptist Church. The Evans' home was always open for times of fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. We will miss Kim greatly but the impact her godly life has had will live on for generations. Chris & Tamara Seely <><

Words can't begin express how blessed we were to have Kim here in Little Rock for such a short time. It was truly an honor to have her in our presence. She had this unique gift of always challenging us to strengthen our daily walk with Him. It didn't matter what topic you had on your heart to talk about, she ALWAYS would be able to give you such invaluable advice. My prayer would be that lives would continue to be changed because of the legacy she has left on this earth. May God continue to keep His precious arms wrapped around Travis and the children. Marty, Audra, Marleigh & Cade Mills
Emilie and Landon, please know that your mom will always be in all of our hearts. From the first time we met, she went out of her way to help. Always with a cheerful smile and so proud of her family. Continue to walk in her footsteps and know that we love you. CAC friends and family....
Travis, Landon and Emilie, What a privilege and blessing it was for us to get to share with and know Kim. What a rare and extraordinary presence she was! She truly was a light from Christ in this dark world to everyone with whom she came in contact. There really are no words to express the sorrow in our hearts for you and your entire family. Just know that we don't grieve as those who have no hope (1 Thess. 4:13). We will miss her so much, but we take comfort in knowing that Kim is now experiencing firsthand that which about we can only speculate! If you ever need us for anything, you have our number...in the meantime, you are all in our thoughts, our hearts and our prayers. Remember, His grace is sufficient for you...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I got to know Kim this pass school year, she touched me with her kindness, she never failed to speak to me, even if she was in a hurry. We had some great talks. We would always run into each other while were shopping. When, I first met Kim she had her ball cap on and I told her she looked like Shannia Twain. So, the second time we saw each other I could'nt remember her name and she said "remember Shannia Twain". She was a great lady, very loving and kind. You could tell that she loved being a mom. We will miss you, but you will never be forgotten.
We empathize in your loss. Take comfort in the Lord and be true to your wife and mother's Godly example so that in her passing she also lives through your lives and will never be forgotten. This was my comfort when my mother passed away much too soon. In our Christian family's love, Kim, Barbara and Derek Stafford

Kim and I went to High School together . She was a beautiful woman . She always had a smile on her face and never would fail to speak to you where ever she saw you. She loved being a wife and mom she always talked about her family and the joy they brought to her life. Kim was very close to her mom and dad and loved them so much. She always gave God the praise for her blesssings. I'm glad I knew Kim in this life and I know we will meet again in heaven.
All our love to you and your family.
Words cannot express our sympathy to all you at the death of your precious Kim. We just moved to Little Rock in April of this year and Kim brought us a delicious Sunday meal the first weekend we were here. A few days later she stopped by again with a big bowl of soup. We were so moved by her kindness and obvious gift of ministry. Ellen Templeton is our daughter and she had told us how much Kim had touched her life and the lives of everybody around her. Her very countenance exemplified her strong christian faith. God must have wanted the very best when He took her home last Friday. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. Sincerely, Marsha and Frank Griffin
