Patricia Joan Kiel, age 69, of Gamaliel, died Sunday, July 3, 2005. She was born March 25, 1936, in Nettleton, Arkansas, to John Preston and Verna Lee Harris Doty. On February 25, 1956, she married Donald "Don" Kiel in St. Louis, Missouri. Mrs. Kiel retired from the Wabash Railroad as a payroll clerk and office worker, was of the Baptist faith, and moved to Mountain Home in 1978, from Granite City, Illinois. She worked for 7 years as a secretary for the Baxter County Sheriff's Office.

Survivors are: her husband: Donald "Don" Kiel: of the home; a daughter: Sandra (Edwin) Byrd: Gamaliel; grandson: Nathan (Yvonne) Byrd: Mountain Home; a sister: Karen (Bruce) Schoeneweis; Nephew: Wade (Lori) Schoeneweis; great-nephew: Jack Schoeneweis; and a niece: Nichol Schoeneweis: all of Alton, Illinois; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from Noon-9:00P.M. Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00P.M. Funeral Services will be 10:00A.M. Wednesday in the Roller Chapel; interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the 101 Gamaliel Volunteer Fire Department.
