Donald E. Pyles, 74, of Bono, passed away Friday, June 22. He was born in Bono to Elmer and Florence Peek Pyles. Mr. Pyles was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired farmer and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting.
Mr. Pyles was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.L. Pratt and his first wife, Carolyn Pyles.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia of the home; a son Earl Wayne Pyles of Bono; a step-son, Royce Simpson of Flippin; two daughters, Christidon Pyles and Shana Pyles- Escue, both of Bono; step-daughter, Stacy Thompson of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Jared Thompson, Justin Pyles, Ryan Simpson, Rachel Pyles, Kendra Escue, Joshua Pyles, Tristin Escue and Esvin Tate Pyles.
Visitation will be Monday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Services will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Parker officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery in Bono. Pallbearers will be Dale Davis, Bobby Davis, Shannon Davis, Norman Butts, Fred Howle and Jim Gillis. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Harlan's Sunday School Class of Walnut Street Baptist Church, Bill Millsap, Jim Baugh, Bubby Howard and Bono coffee drinkers.
The family requests that lasting memorials be made to Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1910 Scenic Drive, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
