James Matthew Carte, age 75, went to meet his heavenly Father on Sunday, January 29, 2012, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. The son of James Matthew Carte Sr. and Iva (Phillips) Carte Anderson and Bill Anderson was born January 13, 1937, in Clarksville, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Carte. James served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, during which he gave six years for our country. He was a beloved husband and father and for 52 years he was married to Lorraine Carte who was his soulmate. He strived to be and walk in the way Jesus did and was always there for his family and friends. He will be forever loved and cherished and sorely missed by his family, loved ones and friends. James is survived by his wife, Lorraine, of the home; three sons Rick Carte of Harrison, Rock Carte of Nixa, Missouri, Terry Cullum of Bakersfield, California; daughter:Sherry Cullum of Bakersfield, California; daughter-in-law, Lisa Ann Carte; three grandchildren, Marrissa Spielman, Tyler Spielman and Ashley Carte; and brother Ray Carte.
