Jimmy Eva McNeil, aged 88, passed away on November 24, 2011, in Tomball, Texas. Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, she grew up and attended school in Marion, Louisiana and relocated to Little Rock in her early twenties. She had a thirty year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a Chief Operator. She was a long time member of the Telephone Pioneers.
The fifth of eight children of John Dan and Virgie Sultana Pugh McNeil, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Buford McNeil, Loyd McNeil, and Stancil McNeil, and two sisters: Edith Sumrall and Mary Ellen Roberts. She is survived by brothers Dan McNeil of Laurel, Mississippi and Emry McNeil of Gulfport, Mississippi.
A visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m., at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
