Leonard Martin "Marty" Backus, Jr., 50, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in Memphis. Mr. Backus was born May 28, 1961 in Washington, D.C. to Leonard Martin Backus, Sr. and Alma Sue Lofton Backus.
He is survived by his parents and three sisters, Karla Backus Chaffins Morris of Saulsburg, Tennessee, Leigh Anne Dials (Douglas) of Picknick, Tennessee and Robin R. Backus Loos of Harrison, Ohio.
A graveside service will be held for Marty at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Eventide Cemetery in Marvell, Arkansas.
Service will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
